The two of us grew up in a family of 6 on a farm in southwest Western Australia, we both spent many years traveling and working in agriculture, including on large properties and cattle stations and during that time built on our passion for the rural life. Our love of ‘farm fashion’ (as we often call it) and our past study in visual arts had us entertaining many vibrant conversations together of one day creating an amazing brand that we could pour our creativity into. Lazy V is that brand!
There’s a certain pull towards the rural life, outback Australia and just as much so, the fascinating world of the American west and its many facets from working gear to fashion, that has enamored us for as long as we can remember. In 2010 Lazy V Leather was created, the name incorporating the Lazy V in our family farm brand to link our rural roots to the new venture.
We began creating many custom items with leather and forged a self-taught journey that led us to working with amazing clients locally and around Australia and eventually to our first leather conference in Brisbane (2016) including a week of training in leather carving with Barry King from the USA. We are committed to improving our skills with further study and constantly striving for excellence.
Our dream to create an inspiring and vibrant home-grown brand with its roots firmly planted in the country is very much a reality now. We ship our designs around the world and have been blessed to collaborate with some amazing brands both here in Australia and the U.S.
